Heather Ramirez June 20, 2016 Instagram Instagram Heather Ramirez June 20, 2016 Instagram So many times during this journey have I organically come to a thought or conclusion on my own that, after some research, I come to find is a legitimate issue or concept being discussed in the “real world.” I’m not really sure why it takes me so long to come to these realizations but the sincere delight and pride I feel when I realize that I’m not alone in my thinking amuses me. For example, the concept of social entrepreneurship didn’t hit me until ~two weeks ago but @sharesparkmedia has been a SOCIAL entrepreneurship venture since day one. Heck, I even made a video about income vs. impact back in early May and if you scroll a few Insta posts back, there’s a video clip of me describing @sharesparkmedia as a socially good for-profit company. I’ve heard of the term “social entrepreneurship” before but for some reason, I didn’t make the connection to my own efforts until recently. Do you know how reassuring it is to realize that what I’m doing isn’t weird? That I’m not alone in choosing this path? 😅 Still have to figure out a solid income generator though and I gotta do it soon.🤔 Anyway, here’s an interesting take on S.E. that I found from an old article on the Standford Social Innovation Review website.
